**** Over the past few years, their sound has evolved, and moved away from what I like best, however each album has still tended to have one or two songs which fit the mold of what made me originally love them. When I listened to their latest album, I had this song pegged from the start, as the title most likely to be what I was looking for. And from the opening moments with the piano, I knew I was correct. It builds so well, with the first verse and chorus just being the piano and Danny's beautiful vocals, to the second verse adding in the drums, which gives a real sense of the growing hurt that is being felt. This is emotional and beautiful, and even though it's not predominantly what they do now, I'm glad they haven't completely abandoned this sound. |
