Gutes Album! Aber mir gefallen "Lighbulb Sun", "Absentia" und "Deadwing" einfach besser!

Mittlerweile gefällt mir das Album auch sehr gut! Eines der vielen Meisterwerke von PT. Besonders geil: "Even Less", "Piano Lessons", "Don't Hate Me", "Stranger By The Minute" und "Tinto Brass".

Porcupine Tree gehören in die diese Gruppe vorbeschrifteter Bands. Der Sound der Band ist eher träge und entspannend. Bass und Drums stehen im Vordergrund, was dem gitarrenlastigen Element das Prädikat Begleitgeräusch einbringt. Hört sich jetzt alles sarkastisch an, ist aber nur die Realität, die wenigstens einen abwechslungsreichen Eindruck hinterläßt.

Das erste Album (1999) der Alternativ-Rockband aus
England nach ihrer "Pink Floyd" Phase Anfang und Mitte
der 90er Jahre. Das Psychedelic Element ist hier so
ziemlich verschwunden, alle Songs sind sehr eingängig
und auch aufwändig produziert.

Vielleicht ein bisschen zu aufwändig, manchmal tönen die
Songs fast schon ein bisschen zu perfekt, eine grosse
Herausforderung für die Gehörgänge ist dieses Album
mit Sicherheit nicht.

Aber durchaus hörenswert.
