Un calquage parfait des singles précédents, aussi bien du point de vue de la mélodie, des accords, et de la performance vocale. Cette atmosphère oxygénée qui était propre aux premiers singles sonne par conséquent de moins en moins authentique.

Another great song from 1D, very catchy but it took me longer to get into it; I was instantly hooked when I first heard "What Makes You Beautiful" and "One Thing". I can understand why some people wouldn't like it since i guess you could say its an updated version of WMYB, but "Live While We're Young" is still a great song regardless. Hope it does well on the charts worldwide :) |

Bei "One Direction" konnte und kann man herrlich beobachten wie sich ein Teenie-Act mehr und mehr zum Massenphänomen entwickelt. Das ist beeindruckend. Über das Casting und mit geschickten Marketingkonzept landen sie immer höher in den Charts. UK, USA...jetzt sicher auch bald Germany.<br><br>Aaaaber die Songs überzeugten mich bislang nicht so sehr. "What Makes You Beautiful" war nice aber "Live While We`re Young" hört sich so versucht aber nicht gekonnt an. Sollte wohl ein knalliger Pop-Song werden aber irgendwie ist das so...unrund und wenig eingängig u. knallig. Und Pop sollte zumindest großen Ohrwurmfaktor inne haben.<br><br>2,5* aufgerundet.<br>"The Wanted" find ich im Vergleich doch mit besseren Songs ausgestattet (bislang)... |

The only decent thing that 'Gangnam Style' did was keep this horrible thing from debuting at #1 here in Australia.<br>I was starting to enjoy the image and style 1D was portraying up until this point, guess I was fooled for awhile but in reality they are just following the same footpath as the many other manufactured boy bands which have that hit'n'miss tendancy!<br>Sex and coolness are all the rage and this song in general generally identifies what is wrong with the young ones in general, shame! |

I rate this below What Makes You Beautiful, One Thing and More Than This. The best I have heard from their recent album but still a very overhyped song. Even if it is better than the song that was number one the week they debuted at #2 I'm glad it didn't get there and I'm glad that they will most likely never get a #1 on our charts

Tough to rate this, because despite being a carbon copy of What Makes You Beautiful, this is still a lot of fun. I think the production is better here than in What Makes You Beautiful, but due to the similar nature of both songs Live While We're Young suffers dramatically. This is tied with Little Things in quality, but is still a drastic step down from One Thing or Kiss You.
